Spring. ☀️ Everybody loves spring. I particularly like it because I get some pretty hefty Seasonal Affective Disorder during the winter months. It’s harder to stay above water when it’s so dark and gloomy outside. ☀️ The weather has really turned in the last few days. The sky is blue and the birds are celebrating. I even saw a daffodil and dried some laundry outside! ☀️ There’s nothing lovelier than the knowledge that winter is almost over, the days are getting longer and we’ll be seeing the sun a bit more. What makes me laugh is how it almost seems to happen overnight!I’m pretty convinced, by this point, that three year olds are human dustbins. Eden goes through a phase pretty much every night of just requesting endless food. It doesn’t matter how long ago we had dinner, or what we’ve had since, she’s always got an idea of something else that she “neeeeeeds”. We try to keep it fairly healthy, so hopefully her having a bottomless pit for a tummy will contribute to her making 40 inches by September. Splash Mountain is waiting for you, Eden!Sorry for the radio silence. We have had a hell of a week and a bit. ⚫️ I came home from work on my first night shift (of three) with some kind of cold/flu situation. Battled on for a couple of days and it started to feel distinctly like a chest infection, so I went to the GP, where they confirmed what I thought and signed me off work. They sent me on my way with a blue inhaler after going back and forth over whether to give me antibiotics and deciding against it. I was back at the GP the following evening as I woke up with head and neck pain and genuinely felt like I was dying. I’m not an ill person. I don’t remember the last time I had a fever and by this point I had been battling one for a week. I was convinced it was something awful. The GP I saw was excellent and diagnosed me with flu as well as confirming the previously diagnosed chest infection. I went on my way with “stay away from humans and if you have these symptoms, go to the hospital” as well as antibiotics too. I’m on the mend now and will hopefully be back to work next week. ⚫️ At the same time, Eden wasn’t right in herself and kept getting a fever too, so off we went to the dr and she was diagnosed with tonsillitis and a double ear infection. Then just as she finished her course of antibiotics, she spent the night coughing so hard that she threw up. We were on our way to the doctor surgery when she became less responsive than usual, so we got off the bus at A&E where she, of course, perked right up! Nevertheless she was diagnosed with croup and given a dose of steroids to sort her airway out. ⚫️ Thankfully we are both on the mend now and life is returning to normal. Poor old Aiden has been in the thick of it and has somehow managed to come out of it without getting sick himself! ⚫️ I’m just glad that everything should hopefully be back to relatively normal by the time it’s my birthday next week...Who We’ve Worked With…
