It’s now been twenty eight days since we lost Squishy. Not a whole lot has changed in that time, and I still haven’t had a positive ovulation test despite doing them every day. I figured I would post an update from our world.
I went to the doctor last week and he diagnosed PCOS. Thankfully, I don’t have any cysts on my ovaries – scans when I was pregnant confirmed this – it’s just my hormones that are out of whack. So, I’ve been out back on the dreaded metformin. It turned my stomach last time I was on it, and needless to say it is doing the same this time despite being on the modified release version.
The doctor told me his plan, which I was appreciative of. I will be on metformin for three months, then after that he will add clomid to the mix. He seemed to think it would take no more than clomid for me to be pregnant again. He also said that I need to be prescribed progesterone as soon as I get another positive pregnancy test, so that’s good too. I’m just glad he has a plan.
Fingers crossed it won’t be long until Squishy is back with us

Almost three years since that day! I think it will be awesome to show Eden this again when she’s a bit older. Some folk leave a mark on your story and I could honestly never thank Viv enough for helping us to bring our rainbow baby into the world... even if we did make her two hours late off her shift!
